Day Zero Procedure - New!

Registration is open at the Coast Hotel from 10am to 2pm only and the MANDATORY Racer Briefing is from 2-3pm. Please allow ample time to complete the entire Day Zero registration process and ensure that you have brought with you everything required to complete registration. Not sure what you should bring? Read on...

Note that water will be available during registration and there are lots of take-out food options within walking distance. Keep yourself hydrated in preparation for the BC Bike Race experience of a lifetime!

Step 1. Bike Storage & Bike Box Drop

Proceed with your bike via the hotel parking entrance down to level P3 for bike storage while you register.

If you need your bike unpacked for you on site, contact james@obssessionbikes.com / +1.604.789.2453 BEFORE DAY ZERO. The cost is CAD$60 and includes a safety check. There will be an area in P3 where you can self assemble your bicycle if need be. Please bring your own tools.

If you are travelling with a bike box, you can check it in at the transport truck in front of the hotel once you have unpacked your bike.  We will transport it to Whistler for you.  This is the last time you will have access to the bike box until the end of the race, so ensure you have removed everything you need for race week.

Step 2. Paperwork, Dakine Bag & Swag Pick Up, Body Care Booking and More!

Proceed upstairs (follow signage) to the Conference Level to sign the participant's waiver and medical form which we know you've already reviewed ahead of time! You'll do your mandatory gear "show and tell," give us your cell phone number and confirm your pre-race registration info.

Here you will pick up your wrist band, bike plate / racer bib, Ryders sunglasses, and Dakine gear bag stuffed with swag. You will also book your body care treatments for the week, book your spot on the shuttle to the Start Line, choose your meal seating (early/late) and register for Day 3 dinner times. For those who purchased parking passes and/or support crew meal passes, you'll get those here as well.

And if that wasn't enough, you'll have an opportunity to browse the BC Bike Race retail store, and mingle with your fellow racers! Whew!

Step 3. Luggage Check

If you are leaving your luggage with us, head to your hotel room (or a quiet corner if you're not staying at the Coast Plaza) and pack your Dakine race bag with everything you need for the week from your luggage.  The only reason you would not leave your luggage with us is if you have a support crew travelling with you that will transport the luggage for you.

Then proceed to the transport truck parked out front and check-in your 1 piece of luggage that we will transport to Whistler for you.  This is the last time you will have access to that luggage before the end of Day 7, so ensure you have everything you need!

IMPORTANT NOTE: bike box and luggage check-in closes at 4pm.

Step 4. Final Bike Preparation

Take your bike plate down to the P3 bike storage area and attach it to your bike.  Once your bike plate is on your bike we will load it on the truck for transport to the start line.

NOTE: your bike must be loaded on the truck by 4pm or you will need to transport it to the start line yourself.

Step 5. Mandatory Racer Briefing

Head back up to the Conference Level and make your way to the Denman Ballroom to get seated befoer the 2pm MANDATORY Racer Briefing. Allow yourself enough time to complete registration before the briefing.

Step 6. Try to Contain Your Excitement!

With the registration and briefing process behind you, the moment you've been waiting for - your journey into The Ultimate Singletrack Experience - is in sight! Hydrate, eat well, sleep well and we'll see you in the morning!!
