Day Zero

Mandatory Registration Day

Date: Saturday, June 27 2008
Location: Shawnigan Lake School
Registration Open: TBD
Mandatory Racer Briefing: TBD @ Shawnigan Lake School

On Registration Day, all racers will complete the registration process, which includes completing and submitting the Participant Waiver and forms. Before Day Zero, review important race documents, including the Participant Waiver. 

During registration, you will receive your race package, which includes, among other great items:

1. Ryder sunglasses
2. Suarez custom xc jersay
3. racer gear bag by DAKINE
4. Crankbrothers custom swag
5. Syncros custom swag
6. Honey Stinger Bars (1 Caddy)
7. racer ID, lanyard, wristband, number plate and zip ties
8. racer program
9. racer bible
10. venue handout

At the same time as registration there is a compulsory bike box and racer luggage drop off.

Following Registration, there is a Mandatory Racer Briefing for all registered racers, which will last approximately 1-1.5hrs (subject to change).

**For those who purchased tickets for Day Zero Dinner: 6pm in Marion Hall

Day Zero Procedure

For best results, arrive for Day Zero with your team partner and follow all package pick-up steps together....as outlined below:

Station A - Forms, Waivers, ID, Tags, and More!

1) Sign your waiver in front of BC Bike Race staff as witness
2) Submit or fill out your medical form
3) Obtain your BC Bike Race wrist strap
4) Obtain your BC Bike Race bike plates and racer bibs

5) Obtain your tent tags
6) Day Zero Schedule of Events
7) Obtain any upgrade vouchers/tickets
8) Obtain your SLS room checkin information

Station B - Bike Drop Off

Fasten your bike plate to your bike and drop it off in the Assembly Hall. Obsession: Bikes will be on hand to help you with any last minute things to get your bike ready for the week.

Station C - Package Pickup
Head to Marion Hall where you will receive your BCBR Dakine bag with lots of swag and the official BCBR programme.

Station D - Sunglasses Pickup
Pick up your custom Ryders sunglasses.

Station E - Crocs Pickup

Station F - Cellphone Check-In
If you are travelling in the BCBR with a cell phone, we'd like to record the number in our emergency files.

Station G - Optional Cooler Program

For those who ordered the cooler, its dimensions are 16"x11"x10" - 28L capacity.

Station H - Luggage & Bike Box Check-In
Drop off your luggage and bike box for transportation directly to Stage 7 in Whistler. This Station closes one hour later than the other stations.

Station I - Support Team Check-In
If you've got an entourage travelling with us for the week (friends, family, moral support crew), have them check in with us.

Once you're checked in, you can hang out in your room or tour Shawnigan Lake while you wait for the Mandatory Racer Briefing to begin at Shawnigan Lake School.
