Mandatory Prologue: from 12:00pm to 4:00pm (time trial fashion)
Luggage Check Closes: 3:00pm
Bike Check Closes: 4:15pm (all bikes must be checked-in!)
Mandatory Racer Briefing: 5:00pm
On Registration Day, all racers will complete the registration process, which includes completing and submitting the Participant Waiver and forms. Before Day Zero, review important race documents, including the Participant Waiver. These are all available for download in the Racer Area.
During registration, you will receive your race package, which includes, among other great items:
1. Ryder sunglasses
2. Suarez custom xc jersey
3. racer gear bag by DAKINE
4. Sock Guy custom socks
5. Custom t-shirt
6. Racer ID, lanyard, wristband, number plate and zip ties
7. Racer program
8. Venue handout
Please allow ample time to complete the entire Day Zero registration process and ensure that you have brought with you everything required to complete registration.
At the same time as registration there is a compulsory bike box and racer luggage drop off. If you want your luggage and bike box transported to Whistler for you, you will need to give them to us at Day Zero. Put everything you need for Race Week into your new DAKINE Bag (which you'll keep with you for the night), and we'll take everything else off your hands!
Note that we'll also to collect your bike from you at this point. We will transport all bikes to the start line in Nanaimo the next day where you'll be reunited in ample time to get settled on your ride before the start gun fires.
At 5pm, following Registration, there is a Mandatory Racer Briefing for all registered participants, which will last approximately 1hr.
Note that water will be available during registration. Keep yourself hydrated in preparation for the BC Bike Race experience of a lifetime!
Once the registration process is complete, you'll have an opportunity to shake off the pre-race jitters and blast through some super-fun North Vancouver singletrack during the BCBR Prologue.
The BCBR Prologue is Tour de France style: a fun 20-30 minute rally on amazing North Shore singletrack to ease your nerves and get you in the groove. No mass start, and nothing crazy technical...just a chance to open up your legs and dial into the experience that lies ahead!
