BCBR Arriving/Departing Tips

We start in beautiful North Vancouver and end in the unforgettable resort town, Whistler. Please make your arrival and departure travel arrangements accordingly.

What does this mean for you in terms of transportation?

Well, if you are flying to BC for the race, you should schedule your inbound flight to arrive at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), which is located just south of North Vancouver and is the hub for travelers with all major international airlines.

Because the race ends in Whistler, on the Mainland, schedule your outbound flight to leave from Vancouver International Airport and arrange for overland accommodation to transport you from Whistler back to Vancouver...see below for some options!

GREYHOUND BUS SERVICE

Greyhound offers 2 daily scheduled bus trips from Whistler directly to the Vancouver Airport and it takes a whopping 10 hours. But there are several scheduled trips from Whistler to the Vancouver Greyhound bus station and from there you can take a taxi to the Vancouver Airport. The distance from the airport to the Greyhound station is 9 miles or 14.5 kilometres. Taxi service is readily available and the cost ranges from $30 to $40 depending on the time of day.
