Thank you for your patience as we’ve been reading the play of this ever changing plot that has affected the entire world.

At this time, we have made the difficult, but obvious choice to postpone the 2020 BC Bike Race until September.

Many of you have been training for this for almost a year, and have made many sacrifices to come and do the BC Bike Race – we acknowledge how disappointed you must be. We are highly committed to seeing your dreams through and still delivering your “best week on a bike”.

The BC Bike Race is a dynamic event to execute. Hosting racers from 33 countries and moving nearly 1000 people over 8 days through 8 communities using community recreation centers and schools in each town, with 4 ferry crossings, nearly 140 land manager agreements and a crew of nearly 275. In other words, we have many things to consider to make this date change.

Our leadership team is working on narrowing down dates and amended race details, and we will communicate regularly with you as plans evolve. It’s work we love to do and with our 15 years of experience and a dedicated team of event-professionals, we are up to the task, even in these extraordinary times.

You’ve signed up for the Ultimate Singletrack Experience and we are committed to providing what you trusted us to do. Rescheduling this event to a different time of year will present unique challenges. We will adapt and implement stringent measures to ensure the health and wellness of our racers and crew which is of foremost importance. Where the new date poses a challenge for you, we will have deferral options available to a future BC Bike Race.

Thank you for your continued patience. The outpouring of support from our racer community – both alumni and our future alumni – YOU! has been amazing and inspiring. We are always humbled and honoured to host you here in BC and we take great pride on putting on this event; connecting with like minded, positive people from around the world with a shared passion for mountain biking.

To the 121 Alumni of this year’s class that have raced with us before, thank you for coming back and trusting us. We look forward to seeing you again.

To the rest of the racers that we have not yet met, we will be spending a week together on bikes in the near future. It will be amazing when we finally do get to share this experience.

In the meantime, please continue to be kind to each other and stay healthy. We will keep you posted with more details as they unfold.
