With everything that’s been happening recently in politics and the ripple effect that’s having, we want to remind you that at BC Bike Race, we are mountain bikers first.
It doesn’t matter where you’re from, what side of the political aisle you stand on, who you love, what gender you are, what colour your skin is or even what bike brand you ride.
We created BC Bike Race because we love creating memorable experiences and we love how sharing those experiences can unite people. Our conduit just happens to be mountain biking on spectacular trails in our sliver of the world.
At a time when so many things are dividing us, we are proud to provide a space where people can come together and just have fun, even if it’s Type 2 fun.
We stand for adventure, for good times, for people hanging out together in nature because it f$#king feels good. We believe that when we’re out on the trail, the rest of the world drifts out of focus. In those moments, there are only roots and rocks and jumps and berms and looking ahead to figure out what line we’re going to take.
Yes, we need to pay attention to what’s going on in our crazypants world right now. Just remember that you’re a mountain biker first and go ride your bike, eh?
